Select duplicate frames

It would be useful to select duplicate and near-duplicate frames. A timelapse of e.g. someone woodworking might have hundreds of frames showing an empty workbench, which are tedious to select manually if one wants to remove them.

Hi Samson, thanks for the request.

This sounds similar to a "select frames between" option - a previous request which I've implemented. (It will be available in the next update).

It works like this:

In the timeline, you select the first and last frames of the part you want to select
Tap the button and it will select the frames between the two

Would that work for your use-case?

Noah: That would definitely make selecting the empty frames easier, they're usually in batches. So yes, I think that would work for my use-case. With "select frames between" already implemented it's probably not worth the effort to additionally implement near-duplicate detection either.

I won't rule out the possibility for it in the future, but yes automatic detection would require much more effort.
